Between downtown, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain and Volkswagen's assembly plant, the county mixes tourism, commuters and big workplace lots.
Lookout Mountain and the Tennessee Aquarium are easy landmarks to name in Chattanooga, and Stringer's Ridge is the one to name in Red Bank. Point Park, at Point Lookout on the mountain's northern tip, has overlooks above downtown Chattanooga and the Tennessee River. Parking up there is limited, so if you are on the mountain, tell us the street or lot.
